Tenuous realism gives way to abstraction in the five paneled series entitiled 'The Law of Three'.
In these tapestries I was attempting to reconcile the negatives and positves in my experience. As I weave, I realize that the very process imitates life. Threads are constantly moving in and out from negative into positive and are held down by the warp of reconciliation.
The goal in this series was to bring all the forces into reconciliation.
I made my tapestry panels to be interchangeable.
Gold shimmers and flashes like jagged lightening across panel number three. Triangles colllide and fracture amid waves of sound. The pink triangles have dissolved into gray and their color has bled into the sand like ground.
A wonderful sense of swiming form is accomplished as thread traces cling to the side of the tapestry and a shrimp triangle breaks up into purple fish. The the process of reconciliation realighment continues.

'Law of Three Series - Triangle III'
4' high x 5' wide x 1/4" $6500
The Law of Three is reaffirmed as an equilateral triangle accompanied by three teal ovals dominates the composition. Like Durer's Nemesis it floats transcendent above the other fractured forms and whirling golden starfish of the field.
These teal circles and three pruple squares repeat the theme of the 'essential threes' amid flame-like stripes of gray, rose and pink. The feminine quality of color in the work creates a pleasing lyrical tone. The playfulness of forms reflects my love of DADA.
